boohoo Women's Plus Elasticated Waistband Barrel Jean in Washed Black
Why it works
You feel carefree and at ease in these jeans, which flow elegantly as you move. Ideal for those who embrace a relaxed, bohemian style during deep-winter days, the soft fabric gently drapes over your curves.
Retailer's description
Barrel fit with an exaggerated wide leg that pools and billows from the hip, tapering very slightly at the hem to create that distinctive rounded silhouette. Elasticated waistband with a visible tie detail sits comfortably at the natural waist without digging in - the kind of waistband that actually moves with you throughout the day. 100% cotton denim that feels breathable and soft directly against the skin, structured enough to hold its shape while gradually moulding to your body with every wear. Panelled construction across the thigh adds a subtle design detail that breaks up the volume and gives the wide leg a more considered, intentional finish. Side seam pockets sit flush against the wide leg, functional without disrupting the clean drape of the fabric as it falls. These jeans bring serious volume to a casual rotation, and the trick is in balancing that width up top. The model wears hers with a fitted sleeveless crop, which is exactly the right call - something that tucks or sits just above the waistband lets the barrel silhouette read as intentional rather than oversized. A longline fitted vest or a slim ribbed long-sleeve works just as well when the temperature drops. At the feet, strappy flat sandals or clean trainers both sit nicely under the wide hem without fighting the shape. The washed-out denim tone makes them easy to style back into a wardrobe that already leans casual - think weekend plans, a low-key lunch out, or a relaxed evening with friends where comfort and looking put-together aren't mutually exclusive. The elasticated waist means you're reaching for these on repeat. | boohoo Women's Plus Elasticated Waistband Barrel Jean in Washed Black | Size: 16 | Denim/Cotton/Polyurethane
